Varanasi is the world's oldest and holiest city in Hinduism.It is situated on the banks of river Ganga. Most people visit varanasi in order to wash away sins in the holy water of river Ganga.Walking down the ghats and alleyways or watching the sunrise are considered as one of the best views.this state is also called Banaras or Kashi.It is one of the 72 districts in the Indian state of Uttar-Pradesh. It is to the south east of uttar Pradesh and east of Allahabad.Varanasi lies along National Highway 2, which connects it to Kolkata, Kanpur, Agra, and Delhi, and is served by Varanasi Junction and Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport.It is the major place of pilgrimage.It is mainly famous for its ghats.There are also many temples located in Varanasi.

The people of Varanasi are employed in many

Varanasi is served by Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, which is approximately 26 km (16 mi) from the city centre in Babatpur. The airport inaugurated a new terminal in 2010, and it was granted international airport status on 4 October 2012. Air India, Buddha Air, Jet Airways, Jet Konnect, Indigo, and SpiceJet operate flights from Varanasi to Delhi, Gaya, Kathmandu, Khajuraho, Sharjah, Lucknow, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Kolkata. Over 330,000 passengers pass through the airport each year.
