As any other city of India, Agriculture and related works
are the backbone of the economy and is major contributor of the revenue in the
city. The soil alluvial, and is most fertile quality of soil and hence produces
good crops round the year. The presence of Narmada river solves the issue of
water for irrigations. To cope up with the shortage during the summer, the dams
are built to contain the water and flow through the canal for the farming
activities. The Narmada’s basin is full with minerals and accumulates the
alluvial soil, which produces crops like wheat, rice, millets etc.
The crops like pulses, oilseeds, cotton, sugarcane, etc. are further processed to make other related products. The finished products are then transported to the other parts of the region through transport services. The crops and other harvested products are brought here by the farmers from remote locations to get good price as the market here is big.

In case of any national emergency and infiltration from the border, the center part of the country will remain safe for the maximum period of time in the worst-case scenario, as the infiltrators have to cross the entire landmass from every direction to destroy the production units to limit the availability of equipment like bullets and missiles for the armed forces, so that they can have upper hand.
Until then, the correct attacking plan will be carried out by the armed forces and the supply of the equipment will never stop.
Hence, the factories to make Guns (Gun Carriage Factory), Ordnance Factory to produce bullets, howitzers, rockets, bombs, mortars, grenades, shells, trucks, mine-protected vehicles, and bulletproof vehicles for the Indian Armed forces are situated here. transported to the rest of the country via transporting services. The marble
from Jabalpur is very famous in the entire country. Jabalpur is the biggest
supplier of the marble of the entire country’s need. All the marble used in the
country, is from any one of the mountain in the city.
